Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Service
Please read carefully
Use of Heart of the Pack's services is conditioned on your acceptance and compliance with these terms.

For Dog Walking
We reserve the right to cancel walks due to extreme unforeseen circumstances including extreme weather.

Our insurance requires that you provide us with written permission in order to exercise dogs off lead.

Any health issues your dog may have must be made known to us from the outset.

We request authorisation to manage any emergency that may arise, which may involve using the most local vet at the time, which may or may not be your usual vet.

Unless otherwise agreed, we request that payments be made in advance either in cash or by bank transfer. Cheques are not accepted.

Unless you have requested otherwise, it will be assumed that any photos or videos we take of your dog may be used on Heart of the Pack website and/or social media platforms.

Cancellation Policy
Should you wish to cancel your dog's walk we require 72 hours notice or the normal fee will still be charged. Sick or lame dogs will not be charged for missed walks.

For Pet Sitting in Your Home
Please ensure that your home is clean, hygienic, and in a suitable condition for the sitter's stay at the start of the booking.
This includes the clearing of any dog faeces from the garden/outdoor space. Cat litter trays should likewise be left cleaned.

We agree to respect and maintain the cleanliness of your home.

If anyone else has keys to your home and may enter during the sitter's stay this must be made known to us at the time of booking.

The location of any security cameras situated INSIDE your home must be disclosed to the sitter.

If your dog has ever shown any sign of resource guarding, this MUST ABSOLUTELY be made known to us.

Please leave written instructions concerning the following even if you have already provided verbally;
Your pet's feeding instructions.
Turn off points for water, electricity, and gas.
Contact details for your vet.
Your designated emergency contact.
Alarm code if relevant.
Wifi password.
And where necessary, plant watering instructions and bin day.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
For sits of over 4 days a non refundable deposit of 50% of total cost is due no less than 2 weeks in advance. With the outstanding amount to be paid no less than 4 days before the booking begins. Cancellations with less than 4 days notice may be subject to a fee. We understand that things change and emergencies arise, and endeavour to be fair when deciding whether or not to charge for cancellations. We ask that you be respectfully aware that last minute cancellations leave us unable to fill the dates that were put aside for you, and are a huge cause of loss of income and therefore may result in the withdrawal of this service permanently.

For Dog Training
For in home consultations, please make sure that your dog(s) are safely secured - on a lead, behind a gate, or in a crate - when I arrive. Excited or nervous dogs can (and do) cause injury, and I'd really like to start our session without bruises, bites, or a trip hazard. The fact that this is in my policy? Let's just say it's written in experience - and probably a few teeth marks!
